Abstract:
Summary This paper aims at giving a new method for evaluating explicitly the error between a finite element method and the one of the continuous problem. It is based on a posteriori estimate and mainly the Prager-Synge relationship. In order to simplify the notations, we mainly focus on the Poisson problem. Furthermore, the strategy is made explicit, for quadrangular elements.
