Abstract:
Summary For the purpose of studying the deep drawing process and related metal-forming processes, an efficient finite element method has been developed based on the updated Lagrangian approach with large elasto-plastic strain. The main object of the paper is to show a procedure which maintains equilibrium overall the process including contact and friction boundary conditions and which is also able to handle large strain increments.
