Chapter 32 in Selected Papers of Demetrios G. Magiros, 1985, pp 378-388 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The in-orbit-plane angular motion of a spherical satellite with a mass eccentricity is studied, and both aerodynamic and gravitational torques along with large angle motions are considered. The equilibrium attitudes of the motion are investigated and the conditions for stability presented. The stability concepts on which the study is based are delineated in an Appendix.
