A chapter in Bifurcation Analysis, 1985, pp 115-140 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Bifurcation has a very wide range of application. Poseidon’s trident and the mathematician’s delight, n-forks, surely are included in the theme of this book, provided only that the dents of the n-furcation, c.q. trifurcation, are dynamically interrelated x2014; something which is not the case with the usual physical manifestation of Poseidon’s fork. Any n-furcation, as you know, can be reconstructed as a combination Of Bifurcations Which Partly Overlap.
