Chapter 5 in Introduction to Algebra, 1972, pp 151-182 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The reader probably knows polynomials from school and from lectures on calculus. There, polynomials are regarded as functions. Though we shall also deal with the zeros of polynomials, our chief aim is not to study the properties of polynomial functions. We are rather concerned with rings whose elements are polynomials.
