Chapter Chapter 0 in Foundations of Topology, 2002, pp 1-27 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Though it is advisible to have some basic knowledge of Set Theory and General Topology, in the following some fundamental definitions and results concerning sets and topological spaces are repeated as far as they are useful for a better understanding of this book. Since proofs are omitted, hints to the literature are given. Furthermore, some categorical concepts are introduced.
