Abstract: Abstract In what follows we shall give an extensive study of different binary and unary operations on the unit interval which will give rise to new operations on fuzzy sets. A common denominator in the operations on fuzzy sets which we defined in Sections 2.2 and 2.3 is that they all are “pointwise extensions”.
