Abstract:
Abstract We study in detail how to control molecules in a set of splicing tubes, in such a way that we can generate any recursively enumerable language by allowing them to split and join (splice), but also by separating the molecules in a tube, according to the presence of a pattern in them, and by merging tubes when needed. We show that this new model of a distributed splicing system is computationally universal.
