A chapter in Factorization, Singular Operators and Related Problems, 2003, pp 131-149 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The paper is devoted to some aspects of the so-called integral and differential equations of fractional order in which an unknown function is contained under the operation of integration and differentiation of fractional order. Unified methods based on the Laplace transform, operational calculus and compositional relations are presented to study such linear integral and differential equations. Problems and new trends of research are discussed.
