A chapter in Optimization and Inverse Problems in Electromagnetism, 2003, pp 253-260 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This paper deliberates on the suitability of evolutionary algorithms for design optimisation of electromagnetic devices. Development and application of such an algorithm for a rare earth permanent magnet generator is discussed. Test results for a proof of concept generator are given for verification.
