Chapter Chapter 11 in Tensor Analysis and Nonlinear Tensor Functions, 2002, pp 555-652 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In Chapter 10 we have considered the peculiarities of the theory of tensors applied to continuum mechanics, and the purpose of the present chapter is to apply the theory of tensor functions to continuum mechanics as well. We should answer the following questions: a) where does the problem of investigation of tensor functions in continuum mechanics appear from? b) what are the specific requirements for tensor functions in continuum mechanics? c) what are the methods to satisfy the requirements for tensor functions?
