Abstract:
Abstract A set of digital lowpass, bandpass, and highpass filters with a common input or a common output signal, as shown in Fig. 9.1, is called a digital filter bank. The structure of an M-band analysis filter bank is shown in Fig. 9.1a. Each subfilter H k (z) is called an analysis filter. The analysis filters H k (z) for k = 0, 1, …, M − 1 decompose the input signal x(n) into a set of M subband signals $$ v_{k} (z). $$ Each subband signal occupies a portion of the original frequency band.
