Abstract:
Abstract The Sanskrit text of the Nārada-purāṇa (abbreviated NP hereafter) was, perhaps first, published by the Venkateshwara Press, Bombay in Śaka 1845 (or ad 1923). Chapter 54 of the Pūrvabhāga of NP is devoted to mathematics and astronomy (gaṇita-jyotiṣa). The next two chapters are on astrology (phalita-jyotiṣa).
