Chapter Chapter 5 in Quantitative Economics with R, 2020, pp 61-80 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We enter the wonderful world of networks. Here too, we follow a tidyverse approach, using the tidygraph and ggnetwork packages. We begin with a simple example of a few people, and the network is about who talks to whom. Then we look at the network of the Medici family in Florence, and the Bali terrorist network. We simulate two well known models of network formation. We end with the Electrical Automotive Goods 2016 network.
