Chapter Chapter 16 in Ramanujan's Place in the World of Mathematics, 2021, pp 103-110 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract G. N. Watson (1886–1965) was an English mathematician who had done fundamental work as an analyst and, in particular, was an authority in the field of special functions. A substantial portion of his research was influenced by Ramanujan. Along with B. M. Wilson, he undertook the task of editing Ramanujan’s notebooks, and he was also the first to systematically analyse some of Ramanujan’s mock theta functions.
