Abstract: Abstract The Belt and Road Initiative is a public product that China provides to the world. It is aimed at creating and sharing development opportunities through deepening the economic and trade cooperation so as to promote economic prosperity of the Belt and Road region and even the world. The B&R Initiative has received high attention and positive response from the international community, and has gradually become a broad consensus involving practical action of countries in the region. Speeding up the construction of the B&R cooperation mechanism is an important way to solve practical problems and achieve the above objectives, which is well worth attention and further research. It will neither replace the existing regional or sub-regional cooperation mechanisms, nor compete with them. Instead, it focuses on adding new meanings and new vitality to them while also promoting faster and better development of countries and regions along the Belt and Road. To this end, from emphasizing the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative, especially when it comes to finding ways to solve the problems which cooperation mechanisms are currently facing, to the future improvement of the regional cooperation mechanisms, specific questions will be further analyzed and discussed in the following sections.
