Abstract: Abstract With the deepening of economic globalization and the constant quickening of the urbanization process, the economic structure and social structure of Chinese cities have undergone major changes. At the same time, urban governance also ushered in a new challenge. Effective urban governance is the key to adapting to the development of the new era and dealing with the growing needs of people for a better life and the contradictions with unbalanced development of urban governance in China. This paper systematically sorts out the main problems of current urban governance in China and puts forward several strategic countermeasures, aiming to improve our ability to participate in urban governance.
