Chapter Chapter 2 in Microeconomic Theory for the Social Sciences, 2021, pp 19-31 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The method (not substantive contents conveyed by it) covered in this book can be applied to general kinds of spheres of society, not only to individual and material consumptions. It allows for example that one’s consumption may affect other ones’ consumptions (externality), and that there may be a good which many people can use at the same time (public good).
