Chapter Chapter 8 in Medtech, 2022, pp 173-189 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Most European countries, with the notable exception of Germany and Switzerland, have a negative trade balance in medtech. This chapter analyzes the case of France and highlights the source of its dependence on foreign companies, especially American. It demonstrates in particular the importance of research and development activities to support the growth of a domestic medtech industry.
