Abstract:
Abstract This chapter presents the results of the nine focus groups of lay citizens in different parts of Beijing to identify the key determinants of public acceptability of congestion charging in the Chinese context. As identified in the literature review and partially explored through the interviews with Chinese public officials, researchers have explored eight key determinants in the Western context, namely (a) problem perception.
