Abstract: Abstract The chapter reviews the significant ICT policies, regulations, and the role of affiliated institutions necessary to achieve the Digital Bangladesh Vision. In particular, this chapter provides a critical review of the policies, namely the National ICT Policy, National Telecom Policy, National Digital Commerce Policy, Digital Security Act, Broadband policy, etc. The review highlights that policies in some cases were premature in terms of lacking proper conceptualization of ICT-related emerging issues, unrealistic implementation targets, and approaches. A substantial lack of coordination among the government ministries and agencies does exist. The critical task is to identify the policy-related impediments that hinder the potential growth and development of the ICT sector, in general, and trade and investment, in particular. Appropriate policies and incentive mechanisms are also needed to be devised to reduce digital inequality across regions, ethnicities, and income groups.
