Chapter Chapter 8 in Sustainability Analytics Toolkit for Practitioners, 2023, pp 129-150 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Effective stakeholder engagement is important to ensure that the concerns of all relevant parties are addressed and that ‘no one is left behind’ in line with the principles of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). This is a key step in making sense of sustainability data collected and would help with better interpretation as well as decision making. In this section, we will be exploring the concept of stakeholder theory, the importance of relationship building, introduction to stakeholder engagement models and the role of stakeholder engagement in the sustainability analytics process.
