Chapter Chapter 5 in The Economic Theory of Sustainability, 2026, pp 47-61 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Now, the idea that care should be taken to the point where the marginal cost of care and marginal benefit of care are equal is based on the premise that the marginal cost of care and marginal benefit of care can be compared. To do this, the marginal benefits of care must be measured in monetary units. The marginal benefits of care are none other than the value of protecting the environment.
