A chapter in Strategic Human Resource Analytics and Intelligent Data-Driven Systems, 2026, pp 113-132 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a driving force behind efficient human resource management was examined in this chapter. Effective performance management and the recruitment and selection process of getting the best-fit candidate are paramount toward organizational performance. Failure in this regard may result in loss of competitive edge in the market. Adopting artificial intelligence in performance management and the recruitment and selection process is not only more efficient and precise but also fairer and with less bias, as they are free of human feelings. This research investigated the relationship between predictive performance analytics and performance management. It also examined the effect of the robotics automation process on the recruitment and selection process. Descriptive research design was adopted in this study using 148 workers of BeaconGate Limited as the study population. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences [SPSS], version 24, was used to design and assess two study hypotheses using linear regression analysis and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation technique. Research findings confirmed a correlation between the utilization of predictive performance analytics and performance management and likewise an influence of robotics process automation on the recruitment and selection process. This study offered insightful information about how to integrate AI technology into an organization’s human resource management strategy for effectiveness. This study, therefore, recommended amongst others that human resource practitioners need to encourage integration of AI software (robotics automation, performance analytics) in their practices to mitigate the drawbacks of conventional human resource management (recruitment and selection process, performance management) systems, as this will aid effective human resource management in various organizations.
