A chapter in Strategic Human Resource Analytics and Intelligent Data-Driven Systems, 2026, pp 157-179 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this era of business boom and competition, organizations are finding various ways to entice, identify, and hire world-class talent to meet organizational goals. Traditional talent acquisition models were mostly human-driven, and later companies started using technology as a support for human-driven procedures. Traditional models always suffer from drawbacks like personal preferences, huge expenses, and outdated hiring processes. The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its rapid development, change in expectations about the workforce, and change in skill set requirements, all these factors have contributed to the undergoing expeditious transformation in talent acquisition models. This chapter examines the transformation of talent acquisition models for contributing towards organizational success in a dynamic environment. In a country like India, labour markets are dynamic, and skill set requirements are also ever-changing. Hence, the initial part of the study examines the features of various types of talent acquisition models followed in India and also at the global level. As a progress study exhibits the talent acquisition process with special emphasis on employer branding and Employee Value Proposition (EVP). The study also delves into the impact of technology and automation on talent acquisition practices. The last part of the study examines the challenges of AI in HR practices, especially in the context of the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) world and concludes by sketching the road ahead for talent acquisition models, which leverage data-driven insights, technology, and agile recruitment strategies to build resilient talent pipelines that align with evolving business needs.
