Chapter 4 in Regional Economic Development in China in 2020, 2025, pp 99-125 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle is a major national strategy to promote high-quality development in western China. Through a dual-core linkage mechanism, this strategy fosters economic development in Chengdu, Chongqing, and the broader western region, forming a new pattern of large-scale development of the country’s western regions and supporting the domestic “great circulation” of the economy. This chapter begins with the background of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle development strategy, analyzes its value and significance, main content, current development status, and recommendations.
