Abstract:
Abstract Timely project completion in India’s infrastructure sector is crucial, considering the nation's rapid economic growth and the massive investments required to sustain it. Globally, and in India only a small fraction of projects is completed as planned. Despite significant reforms and improvements in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings, India continues to face persistent challenges in executing infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget. What does statistics of Projects execution suggest? What are extraneous and intrinsic causes for delays? Can this trend be reversed? If yes what are the possible ways? Is there is a need for ongoing reforms? Answers to these issues are discussed here.
