Abstract: Abstract This chapter explores the expanding frontier of brain health and brain augmentation at the intersection of neuroscience, artificial intelligence, ethics, and public policy. It argues that brain health is no longer a purely clinical concern, but an increasingly societal one, linked to well-being, productivity, sustainability, and global equity. The chapter traces the field’s movement from treatment and restoration toward enhancement and extension, showing how brain–computer interfaces, digital therapeutics, and neuroengineering are blurring the boundary between therapy and augmentation. At the same time, it emphasizes that these advances raise profound ethical questions concerning mental privacy, consent, autonomy, and fairness. Through concepts such as Brain Capital and quantitative tools such as brain charts and the Brain Health Quotient, the chapter shows how cognition is becoming measurable, governable, and economically consequential. Yet it insists that technological progress must remain guided by human dignity and inclusion, especially in the design of assistive and accessibility-oriented systems. The chapter ultimately argues for a rights-based and human-centered governance framework capable of ensuring that neurotechnology serves flourishing rather than control.
