Abstract: Abstract The previous chapter explored how market power in the market for goods and services affects the efficiency of a capitalist firm, worker cooperative, and consumer cooperative. This chapter focuses on asymmetric information as the cause of market failure and examines its implications for an efficient form of enterprise.
