Chapter Chapter 14 in A Theoretical Foundation for Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship, 2025, pp 139-147 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract With the development of globalization, rise in digital technology, and impact of the knowledge economy, increasingly more companies are beginning to use external innovation to improve their products and services. Consequently, open innovation, a new innovation paradigm, has been widely involved. At the same time, digitalization, ecologicalization, and globalization have been driving entrepreneurs to continuously integrate internal and external innovation resources. In the process of collaborative innovation with external innovators, entrepreneurs identify and utilize new entrepreneurial opportunities, which in turn provides new opportunities for academic exploration of open innovation-driven entrepreneurship. This chapter provides valuable insights and directions for future research by reviewing relevant studies on applying open innovation in entrepreneurship research.
