A chapter in STEMM the Bleed, 2025, pp 1-24 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter one explores the past and present landscape of women in science. A concise review of relevant literature sets the stage, providing context for the voices that follow. The methods employed in this study, including interviews with thirty-two women scientists and a quantitative survey involving over 2000 male and female scientists, are detailed. These women interviewed (not those women noted whose words are to be found in the public domain) have their identities safely anonymous as they share their stories, offering a glimpse into the intricate tapestry of their lives.
