Chapter Chapter 6 in Selected Topics in Statistical Inference, 2024, pp 117-136 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract InUnbiasedestimation – the earlier chapters, we have discussed selection of samples from a finite population of individuals or dwelling units or such. There are, however, situations where sampling is to be performed in an assembly line of an industrial process to determine the reliability of the process. In this chapter, we discuss the problem of estimation of reliability. We concentrate only on the exponential lifetime distribution.
