Chapter Chapter 1 in Introducing Board Gender Diversity to Sri Lanka, 2023, pp 1-31 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract For a country that elected the world’s first woman prime minister, women in leadership roles should be a common scenario in Sri Lanka. This, however, is not a reflection of the situation in the corporate arena in Sri Lanka with only 8 per cent women directors on public company boards. This book analyses this issue and suggests the benefits that Sri Lankan public companies would gain if more women directors were appointed.
