Chapter Chapter 7 in Understanding the Sociology of the Accounting Profession, 2023, pp 175-232 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines the second merger attempt, which the Institute and the Society mounted in the early 1970s, having released the first draft proposal in 1976. After the failure of the first attempt, in 1969, both bodies re-initiated merger discussions within about six years (ICAA, Annual report. Sydney, Australia, 1975, p. 9).
