Abstract:
Abstract Telecommunications technology has been one of the most transformative industries in the recent years as information technology applications have been widely implemented in life, society and business. To effectively exploit the potential of Vietnam’s technology and telecommunications industry, this article uses a quantitative economic model to assess the impact of investment decisions and capital raising decisions on the Beta coefficient—a rate that measures the volatility of a market-related securities or portfolios—of Vietnamese telecom and technology enterprises based on quarterly figures of telecom technology companies listed in the period 2018–2023. The results showed that the factors affecting the Beta index measuring equity capital risk are: short-term debt ratio, fixed asset turnover. From there, the author offers a number of solutions to help technology and telecommunications enterprises limit the risk of equity capital in capital raising.
