The Challenges of Replatforming
Katie Tamblin
Chapter Chapter 6 in The Lean-Agile Dilemma, 2024, pp 97-117 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract New sales and renewals are negatively impacted by replatforming in a significant number of replatforming exercises. Replatforming is something most mature organizations will experience, but few do well. It will completely hijack the product roadmap and take up the bulk of development resources for a significant period of time. Maintaining and adapting products to respond to lean disruptors in the market while curating the existing book of business strains any product roadmap.
