Abstract: Abstract In many SAP environments, one of the most entrenched and dangerous challenges is not a technical flaw; it is a cultural one. Excessive access does not appear suddenly or maliciously. It grows gradually, almost imperceptibly, through the daily pressures of getting work done. A quarter-end close is running behind schedule; an approval chain becomes a bottleneck; a vendor must be onboarded immediately, or a purchase order is urgently needed to keep operations moving.
