Abstract:
Abstract In 1998, Lawrence Eduard Page and Sergej Michailowisch Brin founded the corporation Google while attending Stanford University. Initially, they participated in a research project about data mining and developed a search engine called BackRub, the precursor of the search engine Google. At this time, BackRub was the only search engine that was capable of analyzing cross-references of a website.
