Abstract This chapter provides insight into the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the small and medium-size enterprises situation in Uruguay. The study begins with a historical overview, analyzes the current state of entrepreneurship, the business environment and ends highlighting the challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in the country.
