A chapter in Academic and Educational Entrepreneurship, 2022, pp 37-48 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract As in many areas of life, financial aspects also play an important role in entrepreneurial activities. Financial resources are both a prerequisite and a consequence. Therefore, a serious edupreneur or academic entrepreneur needs to understand the basic rules of finance. Building a (scalable) business requires a thorough understanding of potential sources of capital, the resulting dilution effects, and other associated costs, such as limited decision-making authority.
