Chapter 4 in Sustainable Family Business, 2024, pp 59-78 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Sustainable competitive advantage is imperative and without a strong background in human resources, it cannot be implemented. Human capital, in this context, is regarded as precious as other assets in organizations. Nowadays, it is necessary to plan and develop human resources that will help family firms to be present in the market. Thus, this chapter overviews human resource management in family business, introduces important tools for the long-term sustainability of the family business, as well as managing human resources that help family business longevity using the triple-bottom approach. The chapter is followed with a case study.
