Chapter 3 in Theoretical Foundations of Investment Banking, 2024, pp 31-36 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Rather than use the information investment banks have acquired to make their own investment decisions, they might, in addition, sell this information and let their clients make their own decisions on the basis of this improved information. As it cannot easily be verified whether the investment bank has the information it is selling in the first place, as well as whether the information provided is accurate, a verification mechanism should be employed that allows any purchaser of this information to confirm the information provided.
