Chapter 3 in Prescriptive Analytics, 2024, pp 51-70 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is key in going from spreadsheet techniques to analytics. The INDEX function separates the possible values for the variable from the selection of which possible value is used in model calculations. This enables other Excel capabilities to control the logical flow for generating synthetic data, which is a key aspect of prescriptive analytics.
