Chapter 9 in Design Science Methodology for the Management Sciences, 2025, pp 167-171 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we look at the three different roles that a design scientist can fulfil: the role of researcher, the role of designer, and the role of change agent (van Turnhout et al., Handboek ontwerpgericht wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Boom uitgeverij, 2023). Each of these roles has its own competencies, which we will describe.
