Abstract: Abstract Most primary care clinics operate as group practices. Alternative organizations exist and have been gaining traction. These include solo practices, concierge practices, and retail clinics. This chapter introduces basic concepts needed to understand clinic operations and walks students through examples that explain the economics of different organizational designs.
