Chapter 3 in Mathematics and Methodology for Economics, 2016, pp 61-104 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract While we have dealt till now with just a few basic notions in mathematics and economics, we have several times encountered, though not emphasised, the fundamental concept of mapping. This is the situation, where certain objects are mapped to others, that is, the latter are assigned to the former, following specific instructions. Rather than an abstract definition, we give numerous examples.
