Abstract:
Abstract In a highly dynamic market environment, naturally the planning situation may change very rapidly by variation of demand and available supply quantities or by sales and procurement price fluctuations. Furthermore, the dynamics of changes may fluctuate over time with intervals of stable conditions followed by more dynamic intervals. Timely consideration of these changes requires frequent updates of plans. A high reactivity nonetheless can be reached with fixed planning cycles only at the very high cost of frequent planning.
