Abstract: Abstract The present paper presents findings from the latest wave of the PISA survey, i.e., the 2018 OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment. In general, PISA is an empirical study that measures the ability of 15-year-olds’ to use their reading, mathematics and science knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges. The interest of the present paper focuses on the association between students’ positive feelings and their attitude towards reading in different European countries. The survey uses two overall Likert scales to measure the positivity of students’ feelings and their attitude towards reading. Having proved the validity and the reliability of the scales, statistical analysis is performed to examine the association between the scores of the scales for European students. Divergencies between countries are detected.
