Chapter Chapter 11 in New Methods for Measuring Inequality by Analyzing Assortative Mating, 2025, pp 177-219 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the movie The Wing or The Thigh? from 1976, Charles Duchemin (played by Louis de Funès), a famous gourmet, loses his taste. So he cannot rely on “standard empirics” in a food and wine tasting competition on the provocative TV show “Anything Goes”. Nevertheless, he wins the competition against fast-food entrepreneur Tricatel by relying on his analytical skills not based on tasting.
