Chapter Chapter 1 in Fair Queueing, 2016, pp 1-6 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Given a group of agents to be served in a facility, the queueing problem is concerned with finding the order in which to serve agents and the (positive or negative) monetary transfers they should receive. In this chapter, we give an informal explanation on the queueing problem and provide an overview of the content of each chapter.
